Kathleen Seiders; Boston College School of Management

Dr. Seiders is currently an Associate Professor of Marketing with the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in Chesnut Hill, MA. Earlier, she taught at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. Even earlier, Dr. Seiders had spent ten years in the food retailing industry with a focus on operations management and advertising prior to her academic teaching and research career. She has authored and published many articles for academic journals including Organizational Dynamics; the Journal of Marketing; the Sloan Management Review; Marketing Management; the Academy of Management Executive; the Journal of Retailing; and the Annals of Internal Medicine. Dr. Seiders research interests include retailing strategy, services marketing, and food marketing. Her professional comments on food retailing and marketing have been published in the New York Times, USA Today, Los Angeles Times. Inc. Magazine, the Economist, Supermarket Business, Women's Daily, and the Boston Globe. Dr. Seiders has been a guest on BBC Radio; NPR's Marketplace and All things Considered; CBS This Morning and CBS 60 Minutes; and CNBC news. She holds a Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University (where she was affiliated with the Center for Retailing Studies) in College Station TX, an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley MA, and a B.A. from Hunter College.
