Mona C. Griffis; RD, LDN, B.S.

Ms. Griffis is a clinical dietitian with the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology in the Department of Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. She is responsible for the outpatient care of patients with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and other endocrine disorders. Earlier, she was responsible for the total nutritional care of pediatric inpatients on the general pediatric unit specializing in cystic fibrosis, diabetes education and the ketogenic diet program. Ms. Griffis holds certifications as a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association (registration# R683745), as a Licensed Dietitian /Nutritionist with the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition (license #L000118). Her professional affiliations include The American Dietetic Association where she was recognized as the Young Dietitian of the Year in 1996, the North Carolina Dietetic Association, and the Durham Chapel Hill Dietetic Association. Ms. Griffis holds a B.S. degree in Food, Nutrition and Institution Management in Dietetics (CUP) from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
