Carolyn J. Tabak; M.D., MPH
Dr. Tabak's medical practice focuses primarily on pediatrics and preventative medicine in Silver Springs, MD. She is affiliated with Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Earlier she worked as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at the National Center for Health Statistics in Hyattsville, M.D. Earlier still, she was a Postgraduate Fellow in Preventive Cardiology, a Department Fellow in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, NY. Prior to her pediatric training, Dr. Tabak completed a residency in Family Practice at the Franklin Square Hospital Center in Baltimore, M.D. She is licensed in New York, and is board certified with the American Boards of Pediatrics and Family Practice. Dr. Tabak holds several awards and honors including: 2004 Winner of Graduate Student Society Merit Award, University of Rochester; 2004 Nominated for the Fellow Clinical Research Award, Society of Pediatric Research; 2004 Eastern Society for Pediatric Research Travel Award; and the 2003 - Fellow, American Heart Association's 29th Seminar on the Epidemiology and Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease. She holds a M.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH and MPH degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, NY and a B.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
