Alicia Diaz-Thomas; M.D., MPH
Dr. Diaz-Thomas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Section of General Academic Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics at the Tulane Hospital for Children in New Orleans, LA. She serves both adult and pediatric patients at the Tulane University Hospital & Clinic. Her interests and practice focus on community medicine, access to healthcare, and health management issues for the Hispanic community. She has also been active in the pediatric endocrine section and has a robust pediatric diabetes practice. Earlier, Dr. Diaz-Thomas conducted her residencies in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. During this period, she was chief resident in pediatrics while completing her residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Diaz-Thomas holds a M.D. degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, and a MPH degree in tropical medicine from the Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. She is licensed by the State of Louisiana, and board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
